Neffendorf Farm
This 1896, seven+ acre farm was purchased in 1998 by our family to raise adorable Scottish Highland Cows.
For more than 27 years, we have nurtured this place and made it our own through vibrant murals, glass mosiac windows, well-dressed manniquins, and unique, curated decorations.
After our two kids flew the nest, we built our glamping guesthouses and began inviting Airbnb guests to enjoy this wonderful, creative space. Through word-of-mouth, we began hosting weddings, which led to outdoor concerts, birthday parties, family gatherings, baby and bridal showers, art-making afternoons, and other events.
During the height of Covid, we learned that most private dogs parks had closed. In response, we transformed two of our pastures into private, hourly rental dog parks so that families and small groups could bring their dogs to play in a place that is safe, fully-fenced, well-lit, comfortable, and fun for humans and pups alike.
We hope you’ll come out and enjoy our farm as much as we do!
What We Do Here at Neffendorf Farm

Wedding and Event Hosting
Our farm has proudly hosted more than 45 weddings, offering a beautiful and flexible setting for your special day. During weddings, the dog parks and guesthouses are closed to ensure privacy, with the spacious F2 Dog Park transformed into convenient parking for all your guests. You’re welcome to choose and bring in your own caterer, while we provide charming café lighting and recommendations for event rentals such as chairs, dance floors, and more.
In addition to weddings, we’re delighted to host birthdays, family reunions, farm-to-table dinners, and even intimate outdoor concerts—making our unique space a versatile gathering place for life’s most memorable celebrations.

Scottish Highland Cows
Our resident farm ambassadors are a mother-and-son Highland cow duo who do more than keep the grasses and bushes trimmed—they charm everyone they meet. With their shaggy coats, gentle eyes, and love of pats and treats, they’re a favorite among visitors seeking a little escape from the city. Malarky, the mama cow, was born right here on Neffendorf Farms on April Fool’s Day (fitting, isn’t it?). Her calf, Thumper, made quite the entrance into the world: the moment he stood up, he dashed headfirst into a tree, knocked himself out cold, and earned his unforgettable name. Together, these two bring a dose of humor, sweetness, and Highland magic to the farm.

Private Dog Parks
At Neffendorf Farm, we host two private, fully-fenced and secure dog parks, which must be reserved in advance through Sniffspot. Dog visitors can enjoy toys galore, including balls and chuck-its. Their human companions can enjoy covered and comfortable seating around a fire table and queue up music on Alexa. Our parks are well-lit and open for nighttime use until 10pm. We keep our parks open year-round with laundered towels, clean up stations, and even a pool for the pups during the warmer months. Our F1 field is a half acre and great for small groups to have a picnic while getting their zoomies out. The F2 field is a full acre and great for larger pup parties and for those who take their games of fetch very seriously.
Appointment only by reservation through Sniffspot

Glamping Guesthouse Rentals
Our quirky glamping guesthouses bring an artistic charm to overnight stays, each one thoughtfully decorated with cozy, one-of-a-kind details. Comfortable beds and hand-selected antique furnishings make every space feel both inviting and unique. Guests can gather in welcoming communal areas, including a coffee bar, firepit, and the whimsically named “Chicken Coop” lounge. Even the essentials have personality—our glamping toilets are the nicest (and possibly cutest) port-o-potties you’ll ever come across, paired with an enclosed propane-heated outdoor shower for comfort under the stars. While pets aren’t allowed due to our onsite dog parks, our guesthouses offer a warm, creative retreat that makes every stay feel like a little adventure.
